Peter Hubbard began his venture into the professional realm in the late 1990s. While maintaining systems for a nearby sheriff’s department and building systems for a police department, Peter designed a CAD (computer-aided dispatch) system for the Washington County Sheriff’s Department in 1998. A few years later, Peter created a mobile mug shot program for the Centralia Police Department. Hubtech Computer Solutions was officially started in 2000 in rural Jefferson County, IL. Networking, domains, and PC maintenance were the primary scope of the company in addition to Peter's programming venture. Developments were made in Peter’s CAD program to integrate with 911 systems and GIS (Geographic Information Systems). In 2010, the first mapping product was designed for 911 integration.
Hubtech then began to take on another new venture of creating maps and geographical models, including street layers, railroad layers, emergency service zones, and school buildings. Today, Hubtech is closely partnering with 911 and police departments to scan and model school buildings to provide responders, officers, and school faculty with digital 2D and 3D models of school buildings to assist during active scenarios. Hubtech was incorporated in 2021 as Peter felt it was time to officially grow the company. The company has now evolved to provide GIS (mapping/modeling), networking/firewalls, digital and physical security solutions, and many more services.
